Here’s a 5-minute video of a variety of our picture books and chapter books including some of the ones just released this month. Keep in mind this is only a sampling of our entire line. Contact me with questions or to schedule a shopping day to see these and others for yourself. No obligation and you’re welcome to have friends and/or children join us. Or not. 🙂
I can also help with book fairs, read-a-thons, fundraisers, you name it. If you can dream it, we can do it. Let’s talk!
Our Shine-a-Light books are a great big hit with kids from ages 4-8. As you read the story they get to shine a flashlight behind every right-side page to reveal the hidden secrets of nature. What fun!
Let your kids guess what they’ll find hiding in each illustration. They won’t easily forget what they learn about habitats, tide pools, and tree trunks. Pair these titles with a small flashlight for a delightful birthday gift or a special treat for overnights at a grandparent’s house. Purchase one or purchase several in the Shine-a-Light series.
I’ve highlighted some of these new picture books already but it’s nice to hear when others shower praise on them. Pick on the book picture for detailed info about notable features of these titles. Pick on the title of the book to purchase, or contact me today to find out how to get these books for free.

“A diverting interactive introduction to several coastal species, from otters to oystercatchers.” – Publishers Weekly
This playful read aloud for preschoolers sports thick, coated pages to stand up to your toddler’s abuse. Kids who pick up on the rhyming, sing-song text will soon be joining along in the fun. Enjoy this video of a kindergarten teacher reading the book, then add I’m a Dirty Dinosaur to your library.
The perfect book for the very youngest
basketball player or fan!

A Basketball Story
by Richard Torrey
Kirkus Reviews says I’m a Dirty Dinosaur “cries out for toddler participation.” Children will delight in this dirty dinosaur’s playful antics and just may want to join in with the sniffing, snuffing, shaking, tapping, stamping, splashing and sliding. After celebrating messiness, the dinosaur goes to the swamp to “GIVE MYSELF A WASH!”, along with a few other critters.
You’ll even love the feel of the pages. Shop for this beautiful hardcover book here.
Peek Inside the Zoo and Peek Inside Animal Homes are two of our new 2014 titles for 3 years and up. In the first, readers peek under leaves and behind doors to find noisy parrots, cheeky monkeys, very tall giraffes and lots more. Or search for burrows, hives and treetops, and even under the sea, to find all kinds of animals in their homes. These will be some of your children’s favorites with their layered pages, hidden treasures behind the flaps, and cutouts in the pages to peek through. We have these and many more interactive titles for your children, young and old. Browse the website or contact me for suggestions.
Here’s a new one called Secrets of the Seashore for all your spring and summer beach vacations (and to remind you of past vacations). This one’s just like Secrets of the Apple Tree but you get to see the hidden habitats of the seas and oceans instead. These make great gifts when paired with small flashlights to shine through the pages. Enjoy these with the favorite people in your life and share loving reading experiences that will encourage your child’s natural curiosity and love of learning.
