This series is getting great reviews. I think I’ll start on this one next.

From Kirkus Reviews, “The fast-moving plot is filled with clever details and magical intrigue. … [Forsyth] develops her characters with aplomb…creating an adventure that is more than just an exciting story. … Well-crafted heroic fantasy for readers just stepping into the genre.”

This series written for ages 9-13 has four main characters, two boys and two girls, making it perfect for both. Readers who love fantasy and everything magical will be hooked. Do yourself a favor and get all five. For more on this series, click here.

Clean it, kiss it and put a bandage on it!

0008690_all_better_300Your preschooler will delight in the animal friends’ misadventures and be eager to help make things “all better” with the five reusable bandages, which match the animal they are used on. Nicknamed the Boo Boo book, this title will forever change how you handle all those little scrapes and cuts.

Special Event for your kids!

0002493_jonathan_james_and_the_whatif_monster_300One of our favorite author/illustrators, Michelle Nelson-Schmidt provides an online live story hour every Wednesday evening for anyone who wants to come.  She does this as a free service to the many children nationwide who have connected with her via school visits, but guess what? She LOVES spending time with kids and it makes her so happy to “see” lots of kids during these events. She doesn’t care how you found her. She just wants to love on the kids.
0008680_dog_and_mouse_300If you have preschool and elementary-aged children, you’re welcome to join her every Wednesday as she reads her books live and delights in the wonderful world of children. Share this with other families too. Be early to Story Time so you don’t miss anything. You might even win something extra special for attending! Here’s the link for Story Time and here’s the link for Michelle’s current titles that we offer. Once you meet her, whether “live” at Story Time or in person for a school visit, you’ll be excited to find out what she’s coming out with next. Maybe she’ll share during Story Time.

10393731_10153045454127386_8031130091322281302_n Told from the girl’s perpective and then the beast’s, A Tale of Two Beasts depicts what happens when a little girl rescues a strange beast from the woods.  This wonderfully entertaining tale introduces children to the idea that every story has two sides and it’s important to consider the other side too.  This is fantastic for reading aloud and for reading in groups as well.
